The Heard not the herd.
The unheard-of change.*
Mobilizing progressives and un-precedented change?
The president walked a line that is hard to parse but the two perspectives above might metric it. Inspiring the left and moving the moderates, I don't know if there is a precedence for a 14 to 20 per cent change in polls overnight. Of course there is precedence for news to leap on hypotheticals or rhetoricals anyway. The line was not exactly a leash but in line with our dog metaphor, the feat before us, and should tug at the character of our wagging or blue dogs. This is not our father's hush puppy or soul food.

[* Update 9-11-09: Unembedding the Victim Hood pulls the polls (CNN and MyDD) from the herd.]

Nailed It! T-point Oh!
Tangent or Tetrahedron:
Not T-Rx or Too point Oh, but my segue from Jon Stewart and the T-Party to the Peas** Party, or the adult in the White House, also is symbolized in the 3* part response that is just the beginning of the Iron Chef.
*by 3, I mean, the joint session, the follow up and the long term, as represented in presentations of the Obama plan
** or Broccoli[!]
[Another T: Tangent or Tax issue see ** there ]
[BTW: It's MAD, I mean "math", but it is this simple. From T-boned to L-boned(an accidental vehicle metaphor) the Lincoln Labor / Capital reference is pertinent in a "fair and balanced" tax structure -- i.e. treat capital gains as income.]
[Not to make light of food or metaphors, but there may be something to the Cain and able of 9-9-9. The number may not be important or that it is the flip-flop of 6-6-6. but that there is nothing wrong with a flat tax, if there are flat, and sufficient but limited deductions and exemptions, as well as a sufficient safety net. Note no mention of capital gains which I read as considered income.]

The Dickens We Say!
Better to look back than go back!
Preemptive Comment this AM: Obama battles for Fiscal Reality!
Geitner is speaking on Andrea Mitchell Reports.
Andrea Mitchell pulls Geitner's leg on Romney, but he doesn't bite.
Romney wants to get it done. He doesn't want to look back, he wants to Re-Right! If we look back we will see his Re-Write.
Overhang of Obamacare?
It's coming back?
[Not to mention "No New Taxes"! Old taxes will do fine.]
Segue: Presidents Speech to be inserted later.
[Thom Hartmann Couples Counseling/Next President will take credit for "breaking up" better economy.] Talk is cheap?
